What is VOIP
Voice over Internet protocol, a technology for making telephone calls over the Internet in which speech sounds are converted into binary code (IP Packets) so basically the telephone number dialled becomes a type of web address (www) and then converts back to voice with the codec streaming.
The codec converts the digital bit stream back to an analog signal that is input to a standard telephone so the call can be heard at the other end.
Even though voice over internet protocol is an excellent product it is not suitable for every business as it needs a good broadband connection to carry the calls. We need to do a speed test to ensure that it will work for your business.
